Microsoft Planning Toolkit for Windows 7 and other Technologies

Windows 7 migration is just one of the technologies that a network administrator can be involved in. Assessing the network and the hosts can be a time consuming and difficult job. Microsoft has provided an assessment and Planning Toolkit that locates and identifies the hosts on a network and provides a detailed inventory. The technology underlying this is the Windows Management Instrumentation and Remote Registry Service
