Palm Intros Browser-Based webOS Developer Tool

If the real war for the hearts and minds of smartphone users is being waged in mobile app stores, Palm has a lot of work to do to compete with Apple and Android. The company has promised to deliver a lot on that front at CES next month, but in the meantime, Palm has a new online development tool for webOS, the operating system run by the Pre and Pixi. Palm is calling the new integrated development environment (IDE) Ares.
